Watch CBS 58's exclusive chat with Henry Winkler ahead of his Milwaukee birthday celebration!
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- You may know him from his roles in shows like "Barry," and "Arrested Development," or iconic movies such as "Waterboy" and "Scream," but perhaps his most well-known role -- at least here in Milwaukee -- is his portrayal of the "Fonz" in "Happy Days."
Now, our city is gearing up to celebrate the birthday of the great Henry Winkler Thursday afternoon, Oct. 30 in downtown Milwaukee at the famous Bronze Fonz statue.
CBS 58 was joined by the man himself, Henry Winkler, via Zoom Wednesday, Oct. 29 to chat with about this milestone birthday.
"My life is rich and full, and I'm so happy and grateful," Winkler said.
The party will take place at 2 p.m. at the Bronze Fonz statue that stands along the Milwaukee Riverwalk at Wells Street. You will also be able to watch the ceremony LIVE HERE.
The event will be emceed by our very own Bill Walsh. Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson will also declare Oct. 30 "Henry Winkler Day" in Milwaukee. Skylight Music Theatre performers will lead a "Happy Birthday" sing-along followed by, of course, cake!
