This weekend was warm! Even hot for some of you with some air conditioners being turned on for the first time. The high on Saturday reached the 80s for the first time this year. It came just a few days earlier than the average for first 80s in Milwaukee. The 82* high temperature was only three degrees away from the record!
Sunday was still nice and warm in the 70s. We had a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday but Sunday saw a few soaking rain showers. Both days were windy with gusts well above 30 mph.
The strongest wind gusts happened Sunday afternoon as a front rolled through after the rain. Wind gusts topped out above 40 mph in a few communities and almost hit 50 mph in Milwaukee.
Temperatures to start the new work week will be 20-30* cooler than they were over the weekend hanging around 50* both Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday looks to be the coldest day of the week with a lake breeze and highs in the low 40s. Temperatures will warm up a bit by the end of the week back into the 50s and eventually getting close to 60 this weekend.
