Voter ID Awareness Campaign Launched

With election day four weeks away, there is a new campaign to build awareness about voter photo ID.

The City of Milwaukee launched the \"Voter ID Challenge\" on Monday.  It encourages people to use social media to learn about the law that was recently reinstated.

Voters will be required to show a state-issued driver's license, ID card, military ID or U.S. passport.   \"Right now we are challenged, we are challenged by the decisions of the Wisconsin Legislature and Governor Walker. We are challenged in saying everyone who votes must present a photo ID.\"

People who need a state-issued photo ID can receive one free of charge at any Wisconsin DMV location.
