Volunteers step up in Las Vegas to donate blood

LAS VEGAS (CBS 58) – It didn’t take long for people to roll up their sleeves and donate blood after a gunman opened fire at a country music festival in Las Vegas.

Long lines started to form outside United Blood bank Services Monday morning.

The donor center even set up a second donation center in nearby Henderson.

Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo made a public call for blood donations, urging anyone who was able to donate blood to do so.
