MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A violent weekend in Milwaukee ended with two young teens shot.

Milwaukee police say a 13-year-old boy was shot, near 104th & Kiehnau, while inside just before 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22.

A man who said his mom and sister live on the second floor was shocked to hear about the incident.

“This was the first time, like me, getting a call saying something happened to my mom’s house," he said.

For safety, he did not want CBS 58 to show his face.

He said his mom’s friend lives on the first floor with her kids, including the 13-year-old victim.

“It was like 20 shots sent up into the house, upstairs and downstairs, one of the kids ended up getting grazed,," he explained. “And I guess the person, whoever did it, they were standing quite a few feet away from what happened.”

Since January 1, there have been 15 homicides and 61 non-fatal shootings of teenagers, between 13-17 years old, according to Milwaukee police.

One neighbor said he feels Milwaukee is no longer a safe place to live.

He also requested CBS 58 not show his face.

“I know some people get mad sometimes and want to retaliate, but guns are dangerous. I just think they should be for protection, for your home, for your family," he said.

Hours earlier and around six miles away, police say a 14-year-old, pregnant girl, was shot while in a car with friends.

It happened just before 1 p.m. Sunday near 40th and Auer.

Police say the girl is expected to survive, but her child is in critical condition.

No suspects are in custody for either shooting.
