Victim escapes armed suspect after being confined in Milwaukee residence, suspect at large

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 43-year-old escaped an armed suspect after being confined in a residence in the area of 35th and Burleigh on Monday, Aug. 11, according to Milwaukee police.

Officers responded at about 7 p.m. to a call about a person with a weapon and found that the armed suspect intentionally confined a victim in the home.

Police said the victim was able to jump out of a window to get away and was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.

A tactical situation was established, but the suspect has not yet been found. The investigation is ongoing.
