Bicyclist dead following crash with dump truck in New Berlin
NEW BERLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- New Berlin police issued an early morning update on Friday, Oct. 18 to say that the 69-year-old male bicyclist who was struck on Thursday, Oct. 17 succumbed to his injuries while at Froedtert Hospital.
The driver was reportedly a 48-year-old West Allis man.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
NEW BERLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- New Berlin police responded to a dump truck vs. bicycle accident on Thursday, Oct. 17.
It happened near Calhoun and Fullerton around 1:38 p.m.
According to the New Berlin Police Department, a 69-year-old bicyclist was treated on scene and was transported to Froedtert Hospital in critical condition.
Police say preliminary investigation shows that alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the incident. Calhoun will be closed from Greenfield Ave to Addison Ave.
The investigation is ongoing.
