UW System planning to test all students, faculty and staff for COVID-19

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The University of Wisconsin System plans to resume in-person classes this fall. They also want to make sure it's as safe as possible.

According to Channel 3000, UW System announced Friday, May 15, it plans to test all students, faculty and staff members for coronavirus.

That's 170,000 students and 40,000 employees. The cost is placed at more than $20 million.

UW officials are still trying to determine where that money would come from.
