Standoff leads to arrest of suspect wanted in shootings that killed 3

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police arrested a suspect Tuesday, wanted in two shootings that left three people dead Saturday, Aug. 8. 

Officers responded to the area near 84th and Fiebrantz around 12:16 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, where police say the 36-year-old suspect had barricaded himself inside a residence. 

Police say the suspect exited the home and was taken into custody about an hour later, following the deployment of a flash bang and other tactical strategies. 

The police department confirms the suspect was wanted in connection to the deaths of 26-year-old Vanessa DeHerrera, 29-year-old Scott Bucholz, and 39-year-old Shamarla "Asir" Hare.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
