Downtown Milwaukee's collection of drab gray utility boxes are getting a unique upgrade.
Local artists began painting the boxes today.
They were picked after submitting ideas to the city and 'Downtown Business Improvement District.'
The $15,000 project is being funded by the Business Improvement District, grants, and donations.
