In an update police said they are still investigating the allegations of a rumor circulating around Cudahy High School of a relationship between a student and staff member. At this time there is no evidence of criminal misconduct.
This afternoon parents and guardians of the Cudahy School District received a letter telling them that a high school staff member was placed on administrative leave after an incident between the staff member and a student.
The exact nature of the incident has not been released.
In the letter to parents the school district said:
"Please understand, that due to privacy, we are limited to what we can legally release about the incident and will respect the privacy of all involved. It is important to keep in mind; we are dealing with allegations at this time."
The School District said an investigation is underway which may take several days or weeks.
