Two people and a dog injured by loose dog in St. Francis

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Monday night just after 11 p.m. St. Francis Police were called to St. Francis Avenue for a report of a dog attack.

A woman told police she was walking her dog with a friend when they saw an unleashed dog ahead of them in front of a house. The woman picked up her dog and the loose dog darted at them and started jumping up and down to get at the dog. During the incident, both people were bitten on their arms and the dog suffered a puncture wound to the foot and a scrape on its back.

The loose dog's owner did come out and give the caller his contact information.

Officers tried to speak with the loose dog's owner but there was no answer.

Just an FYI, it was myself and my partner aka my girlfriend involved and my dog has more serious puncture wounds that the vet found the morning after. Also, the scratch was on my dogs stomach. My dog is a Yorkshire terrier.
