Two men seriously injured in two vehicle-crash after suspect runs stop sign near 51st and Fairmount

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are currently investigating a two-vehicle crash that left two people seriously injured. 

It happened around 1:20 a.m. on Saturday near 51st and Fairmount.

According to police, a driver ran a stop sign and crashed into a second vehicle.

The driver who ran the stop sign was identified as a 29-year-old man. He was taken into custody and to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The two men who were in the vehicle that was hit suffered life-threatening injuries. They were both taken to a local hospital. There is currently no word on their conditions. 

Criminal charges are pending against the 29-year-old man.

The investigation remains ongoing.
