Two Collector Cars Valued at $200,000 Lost in Garage Fire

Thursday at 4:55 PM, Franklin Fire Department along with units from Cudahy, Greendale, Greenfield, Hales Corners and Oak Creek responded to the 11200 block of W. Bel Mar Dr. for the report of a detached garage on fire at the residence.
Upon arrival, the garage was found fully engulfed. The fire was extinguished and the garage and its contents were a total loss.
The damage to the structure, two collector cars and automotive equipment is estimated at $200,000.
The blaze may have been sparked by automotive work. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
