Two Arrested in Sheboygan after Hit-and-Run and Burglary in Sheboygan

In the evening of July, 28, officers from the Sheboygan Police Department responded to calls of a hit-and-run of an unattended vehicle and someone attempting to steal from an unlocked car in a south side neighborhood. Officers arriving on scene located the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop.

The driver of the vehicle fled from the officer. The officer did not pursue but noticed the car pull into a nearby driveway. Two men ran from the car on foot. Officers surrounded the area and noticed a man flee on a bicycle from a nearby garage.

It was later determined that one of the suspects burglarized an unlocked garage and stole a bike.

The suspects were identified and a search warrant was obtained for a north side home. The stolen bicycle was located and one of the suspects was taken into custody. A short time later the second man turned himself in to the police department.

A 22-year-old Sheboygan man and 17-year-old teen were referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney's Office for charges.
