TOWN OF GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Dashcam video from the Lake Geneva Police Department shows a high-speed chase in the Town of Geneva that ended when a man fleeing police drove into Lake Como. 

Officers attempted to stop the 18-year-old driver near Broad Street back on Aug. 7 after they say they saw a passenger hanging out of the vehicle. Police say the driver refused to stop, driving the wrong way on a one-way road and accelerating to a high rate of speed while fleeing officers. 

The pursuit ultimately ended when the driver plunged into Lake Como from the boat launch on Schofield Drive, traveling about 100 feet into the lake. 

The police department says all four people inside the car were able to get out of the vehicle and swim to a nearby pier, where officers helped them out of the water. Two of the people were taken to a hospital for treatment. 

Officials say the driver, identified as Cash Rauscher of Delavan, is charged with:

• Operating Without a License, 1st Offense
• Operating Without Insurance
• Failure to Obey Traffic Officer
• Fleeing/Eluding a Traffic Officer
• Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign
• Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed
• Reckless Driving – Endangering Safety
• Violation of Absolute Sobriety
• 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety

Records show his next court date is scheduled for Sept. 28.
