MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Several trees were cut down near the Marcus Center over the weekend to make room for renovations.
Several people were unhappy about the move and gathered outside of the building on Sunday. Some attendees even lit candles and laid flowers.
“I felt like I was in a forest and I will never forget that,” Lori Caterini said.
Last week, aldermen voted against a proposal that would have allowed the trees to stay.
