Traveling beer garden ready to take over six Milwaukee County Parks

GLENDALE -- Rain or shine today is the day.  The traveling beer garden will make it's way from Glendale to Root River Parkway Wednesday.

This is Milwaukee's first travelling beer garden since the 1800's

Everything starts at 4:00 Wednesday.  The truck was loaded up today at Sprecher Brewery with kegs of different beers and sodas.

The traveling beer garden will consist of a tap trailer and a concessions stand.

It's a former fire truck used in Hiles, Wisconsin and it was modified for this by a group of men out of Antigo.

There's some testing that's done before it hits the road. They want to make sure the kegs work, the pumps work, and the refrigerator works.

The traveling beer garden will stop at six parks across Milwaukee county. It'll spend two weeks at each park.

It all gets going today at 4:00 o'clock at Root River Parkway South.  That's near 92nd and College avenue by picnic area 1.
