MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It’s the day after Christmas, and lots of families are traveling back home. Others are finally able to fly after multiple delays and cancelations because of the snowstorm.
So far, there have been about 10 delays in departures and a few cancelations to Atlanta and Orlando. A man we spoke to says he missed Christmas because he was stuck at the airport waiting for the green light.
"This morning has not been so bad, we were cancelled on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so we’ve been stuck here - we missed Christmas," said Jake Pappas, waiting at Mitchell International Airport. "So, Santa brought the presents to the house, he hasn’t opened any presents yet - so today we should be...we should be ok. They snuck us on a flight, and we should be ok.”
We also heard that across Chicago, more than 160 flights were canceled Monday.
Officials suggest keeping a close eye on your specific airline.
