Touring 9/11 Quilt Exhibit makes weeklong stop in Milwaukee ahead of Memorial Day

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As part of a tour around the country, the 9/11 World Trade Center Memorial Quilt Project will be stopping in Milwaukee.

The quilt will be at the Milwaukee County Historical Society during the week leading up to Memorial Day.

The quilts were designed and made by quilters from throughout the United States with a goal of remembering those who were lost, celebrating the heroes and ensuring that people do not forget about 9/11. The Historical Society is host to this traveling exhibit.

The Quilt Exhibit will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day through Saturday, May 25.

The Milwaukee County Historical Society is located at 910 N. Old World Third Street.
