Three Teens Seriously Injured after Crash in Racine County

On Wednesday, June 15 at approximately 6:00 PM the Racine County Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of County Highway U and 2 Mile Road in the Town of Yorkville.

The accident involved a 2003 Honda Pilot SUV which was occupied by a 58-year-old man and a 2003 Dodge Neon which was occupied by three teenage girls. The driver of the Honda suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The teenage occupants of the Dodge suffered life threatening injuries. The driver had to be extricated and was transported from the scene via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital.

The initial investigation shows that the Honda was traveling westbound on 2 Mile Road. The Honda failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and collided with the Dodge, which was traveling southbound on County Highway U and had the right of way.
