Three Children Taken to Hospital after Crash in Beaver Dam.

On July 28 at 12:13 PM, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash on the on ramp to US 151 south, from State Highway 33, in Beaver Dam.

Preliminary investigation shows that Harold Dittmann, 81-years-old, of Watertown was driving a 2012 Nissan pickup south on US 151. The Nissan exited at Highway 33, but failed to stop at the intersection of the off ramp and Highway 33.

The Nissan traveled across State Highway 33 and entered the southbound US 151 on ramp, where it struck a 1997 Chrysler van. The van was driven by Jauntee Emmer, 32-years-old, of Beaver Dam who had three children aged nine, eight and six as passengers.

Both drivers and the children were taken to Beaver Dam Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
