MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- 414 day is a celebration of Milwaukee and its diverse culture. To honor of the Latino community, today was also proclaimed Cuatro uno cuatro day.
"It means that we're welcome to the city, that the city really hugs us and embraces us for who we are and that we are part of it. We get to show Milwaukee what Latinos are and showcase our culture," said Nataly Andrade, Co-founder of Mercadera.
The Third Street Market Hall in downtown turned into Mercadera, a Latina marketplace, featuring over 30 local Latina vendors.
Mocha Harris is the Executive Director of Milwaukee 414 day and says the proclamation is to honor and celebration our culture.
"I love the culture, the food and I want Cuatro Uno Cuatro to be as big as 414 day," said Harris.
CBS58's Montse Ricossa emceed the event and read the proclamation.
