Rising Bucks star donates over a thousand books to local school

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Kids at George Washington Carver Academy had quite the surprise Wednesday, May 13.
Not only did Bango drop by, but so did Ryan Rollins, the rising Bucks star donated 1,281 books - one for every point he scored this season.
Rollins also talked to the kids about the importance of reading and signed some autographs hoping to use his platform to inspire good reading habits.
"It's dope. Just coming back so they can see face. I think it's a big thing for some of these kids that have never seen an NBA player or someone of my stature coming and actually show some face to them, so I think the biggest thing is any of these kids they take it with them," said Rollins. "It can be a great memory for them as they grow up."
