Mequon (CBS 58)--This is holy week for Jews and Christians all over the world. Of course it all culminates with Easter on Sunday. Meantime, the Jewish holiday of Passover starts Friday evening and lasts for eight days. It commemorates the fleeing of the Israelites from the Egyptians in biblical times. And because of the quick exodus, the Jews didn't have time for the bread to rise. This is why non-leavened matzah is eaten instead.
Another ritual of the holiday is the seder meal both the first and second night of Passover. There's a specific order as to how everything occurs, including various prayers, songs, and the drinking of four cups of wine. Jesus' last supper was actually a seder as well.
