The Freezer Door Is Officially Open!

And we thought 41 was cool on Tuesday.  That actually will seem warm starting today.   As a matter of fact, expect highs the next few days in the 20s with lows in the single digits and teens.  Unfortunately, wind gusts will stay brisk through much of the end of the week.  This means wind chill numbers will go below zero, at least for some of us, Thursday morning.  Again, this might be a good time to either take the kids to school yourself or have them wait in the car until the bus pulls up to the stop.

After the snow, we start to focus on the snow, especially late in the day Saturday and lasting through at least Sunday morning.  This will be accumulating snow, but it's still too soon to put some numbers on the event.  The entire CBS58 Ready Weather team is working on getting you the most accurate information and will have an update later today.

In the meantime, make sure to download the free CBS58 weather app to get ahead of the winter storm.  If you do so and send us some photos, you might just qualify to win a few AcuRite weather station.  We have four more to give away this month.

I should mention after the weekend snow, we sit and wait for more cold to come by the middle of next week.  That air mass looks even colder!  Get ready..
