A $10,000 bond was set for Jesus Cardenas-Torres. The 16-year-old is accused of running a stop sign and T-boning an Uber car a week ago near 20th and Orchard.
The passenger in the Uber, Christian Marlyn Hernandez, was killed.
Police say Cardenas-Torres did not have a driver's license.
He'll be back in court next week.
