SWAT team rescues woman and three young children from alleged abuse in Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fond du Lac Police reported to a domestic violence situation around 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening on Boardman Street.

A witness told police she saw a woman try to lock herself and her kids in the car, but the man got into the car and dragged the woman out by her hair and took her and the children inside the house.

Police were unable to make contact with anyone in the house. They initially heard yelling, but it got quiet when they announced that they were police.

Police received information that the man inside the home had a gun and had a violent history.

The SWAT team was activated and entered the house just after 8 p.m. arresting the 35-year-old Fond du Lac man. 

The woman and her three children aged two, five and eight were all escorted from the house. None were injured.
