Survivor of Kenosha protest shooting files lawsuit against city, former police chief, others

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The latest development in the Kenosha protest shooting -- survivor Gaige Grosskreutz is taking legal action.

Thursday night, Oct. 14, a lawsuit was filed against the city of Kenosha, the former police chief, Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth and others.

Grosskreutz is one of three men shot during the unrest, and the only one to survive.

Accused gunman Kyle Rittenhouse is awaiting trial.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Nov. 1.
