Take a stroll through downtown Milwaukee and you could easily miss the fantastic works of art staring down at you, but Ben Tyjeski hopes you’ll look up instead.
The Milwaukee Public Schools art instructor, sculptor, and author Ben Tyjeski recently released a new book titled Architectural Terra Cotta of Milwaukee County. The book is a chronicle of 480 Milwaukee County structures and their architectural terra cotta most of which are still standing.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Mike Strehlow joined Tyjeski in his Walker’s Point studio space to explore an art form that might sometimes go unnoticed or underappreciated.
