Summerfest releases directions make it safe and efficient to travel to Summerfest's grounds.

Milwaukee County Transit System

Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) offers easy options that get you straight to the gates of Summerfest. Catch an MCTS Freeway Flyer or an Ozaukee County Express from designated parking lots. You can also take advantage of the MCTS Downtown Shuttle along Wisconsin Avenue and park within walking distance of a Shuttle stop. Or, you can ride a local bus route and walk a short distance to the Summerfest Grounds. Amtrak Hiawatha Service

Badger Bus Service from Madison

Badger Bus will offer special service from Madison to Summerfest five (5) times a day during the festival. Email [email protected] for more information.

Ride Uber to and from Henry Maier Festival Park – First Ride is FREE!

Directions for Drivers

If driving to Summerfest is your preference, the following tips will help you avoid road closures and traffic back-up's from any direction:

· Plan your route ahead of time at Summerfest.com and with the 2015 Summerfest App and check for updates on construction at projects.511wi.gov and zoointerchange.wi.gov.

· Leave early and be patient.

· From the west, drivers can utilize exits at 7th and St. Paul or I-43 North to Kilbourn.

· From the south, via I-43, use I-794 to Plankinton, Lapham/Becher to Kinnicinnic Avenue north or I-43 North to 10th and Michigan exit.

· From the south, via the Hoan Bridge, the Lincoln Memorial Drive / Michigan Street exit is available.

· From the north, visitors may use I-43 to I-794 East to Plankinton or exit early at McKinley or 11th Street and head east.

When leaving Summerfest, the following locations will be available for highway entrance:

· Lincoln Memorial Drive and Jackson Street entrances to I-794 West

· I-43 (north and South) at 2nd and Clybourn

· I-794 West at 7th and Clybourn as well as 11th and Michigan.

· Southbound access to the Hoan Bridge at Broadway and Clybourn.

Summerfest Parking Lots

Summerfest parking lots open daily at 9:00 a.m. Preferred Parking is only $20 and Exclusive Parking is only $35. All parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-paid parking passes for specific dates during Summerfest may be purchased online at Summerfest.com, at the Summerfest Box Office and via phone.
