MEQUON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It looks like a game but some local students got a taste of the technological future on Tuesday.
Middle school kids went to Rockwell Automation's Mequon location to work on robotics projects. They were learning how to program a robot to complete a set of specific activities.
"There are four different challenges we gave them. The first challenge was to just drive forward until they hit the wall with a touch sensor, with object location and then they deliver a cube to that location," said Brian Farrell with Rockwell Automation.
The kids broke off into groups, each one working with a Rockwell engineer. The event gave them a closer look at a career they might have heard about but may not have seriously considered.
