VISIT Milwaukee preview: March 29-31
It's been windy in southeast Wisconsin since the end of the weekend. Sunday saw wind gusts to around 40 mph and on Monday they got as high as 45 mph. The strong wind was pretty widespread with most of southeast Wisconsin seeing it.
The wind stays strong on Tuesday with wind gusts between 20-40 mph most of the day. It slowly comes down during the afternoon but still remains breezy most of Tuesday evening and Wednesday with gusts to about 20 or 25 mph. A lighter wind is expected Thursday.
The wind moves our air and with strong wind you can expect pretty wide temperature swings the rest of the week. We stick with the southwest wind on Tuesday so highs will likely still reach the upper 50s to around 60. A cold front arrives Tuesday afternoon moving the wind to the northwest which drops highs into the 40s for Wednesday and mostly in the 30s for Brewers Opening Day on Thursday. The wind will likely ramp back up going into the weekend as temperatures warm quickly into the low 50s Friday and low 60s for Easter weekend.
