Steven Avery Attorney asks Court for More Time to File Appeal

Steven Avery's attorney Kathleen Zellner has asked the court for more time to file an appeal.
Originally the appeal would need to be filed by Monday, August 29.
The reason for the motion for more time is pending the results of scientific testing.
According to the Manitowoc Clerk of Courts, Avery’s Attorney Kathleen Zellner, was at the courthouse Wednesday.
Avery was convicted of killing photographer Teresa Halbach in 2005. The case was spotlighted in the Netflix Series “Making a Murderer.” Days after the series premiered, Zellner took on Avery’s case.
