
MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say one person is dead and four others are injured following an overnight shooting in downtown Milwaukee.
The quintuple shooting occurred on Sat. July 12, at around 12:02 a.m., near Water and Michigan Street.
MPD says a 52-year-old died at the scene, and four others were sent to the hospital with injuries, including a 30-year-old, 32-year-old, 34-year-old and a 39-year-old.
No arrests have been made at Milwaukee police continue to search for unknown suspect(s).
MPD addressed the violence in a statement to media:
"MPD has been proactively working with our intergovernmental partners including the Common Council and the City Attorney’s Office to address these issues. MPD is dedicated to working with our elected officials, our public safety partners and the community to cultivate a safe environment for everyone to enjoy our city especially during this summer. MPD asks that we all do better at resolving conflict without resorting to gun violence. MPD will not tolerate violent behavior in our city and will hold those who engage in violence accountable."
