Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes

Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is the ADA’s signature fundraising walk. The event has been taking place for more than 20 years and has raised more than $175,000,000 to Stop Diabetes! Walk day is a huge celebration of the fundraising efforts YOU put into this event. Step Out is filled with music, food, kids activities, local entertainment and most importantly, the company of hundreds of people who truly understand the impact of diabetes.

Walk Date: Saturday, October 18th at Schlitz Park ~ 1555 N RiverCenter Dr in Downtown Milwaukee, WI

Route Distance: 5k or 1 mile route. Participants are not required to complete the entire distance.

T-shirts: Step Out participants who raise $100 or more will receive a Stop Diabetes T-shirt at Registration on Walk day.

There is no registration fee, but we do encourage participants to fundraise in support of the ADA's mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of all those affected by diabetes. Become a fundraising pro.

Are dogs permitted? Yes. HOWEVER, you must fill out a waiver form and understand that you are completely responsible for your dog and any potential incidents that may occur! If your dog is not accustomed to large crowds and children, please leave them at home. Finally, please respect our neighbors and be courteous enough to pick up after your pet!

Are strollers and wagons permitted? Yes. The route has stroller and wheelchair access.
