Step into St. Patrick's Celebrations This Saturday, March 11th in Milwaukee
From early risers to the those who sleep past noon, there are many ways to take part in Irish celebrations throughout Saturday, March 10th.
As is tradition, the downtown parade occurs on the Saturday before the actual holiday which this year falls on Friday, March 17th.
But even before the parade, you can get a true feel for the Irish and the true meaning of the holiday.
Here's how:

DONWTOWN PARADE AT NOON
The 51st Annual Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick's Parade steps off at Noon from 3rd and Wisconsin in front of the Grand Avenue Mall. The parade proceeds east to Plankinton, north on Plankinton to Kilbourn, west on Kilbourn to Old World Third Street, north on Old World Third Street to Juneau to Water Street, south on Water Street to Highland.
The downtown parade has been the largest parade of any type in Wisconsin for most of the past seven years, and this year we are staying true to that history. Check our parade site at Saint Patrick's Parade. Thanks for joining the Shamrock Club, and our partners, Westown, and Killian's Red, for what has become one of the largest St Patrick's Day Parades in North America. It is the greatest family friendly event of the season. We will host eight Irish dance schools, pipe bands, clowns, drill teams, marching bands, and the most Irish organizations in the greater Milwaukee area. It is a spectacle to behold, and a very Irish display of our honor to St. Patrick. It was a wonderful display of our Irish pride.
The Milwaukee Chapter of the Friends of St Patrick and Milwaukee's Hunger Task Force will collect non-perishable food along the parade route again this year.
