Key takeaways in 2024 matchups, top issues for voters
(Oak Creek) CBS 58--One local exercise program demonstrates the importance of keeping the body active, both mentally and physically. It really is tailored to veterans, especially ones with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, or PTSD. The calisthenics-based workout is called "22 Fitness Bootcamp." The number 22 is said to represent the number of vets who commit suicide everyday. Organizers say this event is the perfect way to highlight an important issue for both those in the military and everyone else in the community.
"Fuel Fitness" in Oak Creek, across from Blaine's Farm & Fleet off Rawson Avenue, typically offers the special workout session for veterans every Sunday at 11am, and it's free for vets and first responders. But since Saturday is Veterans Day itself, an additional class will be held from 8 to 9:30am. Also, a new blend of coffee, called New 22 Fitness, will be available for purchase. 100% of the proceeds will go to the veteran outreach group, "Dryhootch."
