(CBS 58) – The Microsoft Corporation is announcing a new feature in Skype.
It’s called the Background Blur. The feature allows people to blur their background on Skype calls. According to Microsoft, it uses artificial intelligence trained in human form detection to keep the person in focus. The technology can also detect hair, hands and arms.
Microsoft said the feature will take some of the stress out of turning on a video camera. The feature is available on most desktops and laptops with the latest version of Skype.
More information and details on how to turn the feature on can be found on Microsoft’s Skype blog.
