SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Shorewood lawyer convicted for spitting at a Black teenager six years ago has now had her law license suspended for one year. 

That ruling came Thursday, Sept. 17, from the state Supreme Court, effective immediately.

Stephanie Rapkin was sentenced to 60 days in the House of Correction for the 2020 incident in which she was caught on video spitting at the teenager during a Black Lives Matter protest. 

Her conviction for misdemeanor disorderly conduct came three years later. 

At the time, her attorney said Rapkin was remorseful for her actions.
