GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Brown County judge denied a proposal to permanently seal evidence in the criminal case against Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs. 

Last week, Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery and criminal damage to property stemming from a May altercation with his then-girlfriend.

Both Jacobs' legal team and the victim had field to have the evidence from the case sealed. 

It comes as ESPN reports the NFL is looking for vide in its investigation.

According to a report from WFRV, a status conference -- believed to be for the judge on the case, Judge Marc Hammer -- to make a decision on whether to permanently seal the evidence from the case, was scheduled for Sept. 24.
