Woman locates stolen car, confronts driver in wild confrontation...
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that occurred near N. 14th St. and W. Atkinson Ave., which lead to a car chase that ended near N. 41st St. and W. Sheridan Ave. on Wednesday morning.
According to police, officers patrolling the area near 14th and Atkinson saw a person shoot toward another person. The suspect then ran to a car waiting nearby.
Officers located the car and chased it, which spanned several North side neighborhoods, eventually crashing near N. 40th St. and W. Sheridan Ave.
Four people got out of the car and ran away. Three of them were found near the scene.
Police were then called back near the scene at 14th and Atkinson for a man found with a very serious gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
Police stated that a person of interest was arrested following the chase.
MPD continues to investigate the incident.
