GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A family still reeling from the loss of a loved one after she was hit and killed in Greenfield last week. Family identified 61-year-old Linda Revolinski as the victim who was fatally hit by a car Jan. 8, near 92nd and Waterford Square.

"She was very caring, she always wanted to do what was the right thing to do," said Vicki Holtman, sister of Revolinski.

The victim's sister, Vicki Holtman, said Revolinski was known as a giver. Another sister of Revolinski said she was shocked when she heard of her sister's death.

"My reaction to finding out that Linda was killed by the car was very shocking," said Robin Berndsen, sister of Revolinski.

Berndsen said her sister lived near 92nd and Waterford Square and worked right across the street at Clement Manor -- a retirement community -- for several years.

Clement Manor released a statement saying in part:

"Linda was the first face our families and guests saw as they entered the main entrance at Clement Manor. She personally greeted and assisted all our residents and guests with a caring and helpful attitude and will be missed by so many."

Berndsen said her sister was the oldest of four and a caretaker for her son with special needs who also works at Clement Manor as a dishwasher.

"My biggest concern was to get there as fast as I can for my nephew," said Berndsen.

Her 43-year-old nephew now staying with family.

Revolinski's family created a GoFundMe in hopes of raising $1,000 to help Revolinski's son, Bill, with extra financial support. Their goal was surpassed and its now at over $3,300.

The family is planning to honor Revolinski's life at Clement Manor's chapel on Thursday, Jan. 18.

According to police, the driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation. Family said it is still an on-going investigation.
