MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Valentine's Day, love is celebrated by people of all ages, and that includes some seniors in our area.
You're looking at a group of seniors at Milwaukee's United Community Center on the south side.
Their Valentine's Day dance included lots of red, which was seen in the decorations and the outfits.
The staff says the holiday is about more than love, it's about celebrating community and friendship.
"A lot of people have lost loved ones," said Ana Castaneda, elderly programs manager. "Others are home alone. So being able to share this time with others, have good friends to spend the day with and just be happy, and share the happiness of being alive."
