Sendik's opening first store in Waukesha June 24

Sendik’s Food Markets announces it will open its first store in Waukesha at the Meadowbrook Marketplace on Saturday, June 24. To celebrate this occasion, promotional prices and grand opening events will take place all week long as shoppers head into the extended Independence Day weekend. Sendik’s family co-owners and public officials will also conduct a ceremonial community ribbon cutting Tuesday, June 27 at 4:00 PM.

The much-anticipated store will offer customers an incredible Sendik’s shopping experience. This includes Sendik’s famous, hand-stacked produce, top-quality meats and seafood, floral and gifts from Sendik’s Home, fresh bakery, specialty grocery and a vast selection of wine, beer and spirits. The 44,500-square-foot store will also include an expanded Sendik’s Fresh2GO signature deli island offering grilled-to-order paninis, made-to-order sushi, a salad bar, a hot bar with homemade favorites, an olive bar and other fresh grab-and-go items.

“We are thrilled to have found a wonderful location in the city of Waukesha and can’t wait to open this store,” said family co-owner Ted Balistreri. “We will work hard to earn customers’ trust and business and look forward to being a vibrant part of the community.”

The store, located at 701 Meadowbrook Road, will employ approximately 100 associates. This will be the 17th location for the family owned grocer and the third to open in 2017, following a Fresh2GO small-format store in Greendale in March and a full-line store at The Corners of Brookfield in April. Additionally, a Fresh2GO is slated to open in Hales Corners in the coming weeks.
