Security K-9 in viral Mayfair Mall video cleared to return to service

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The security dog captured on video latched onto a woman's leg during a fight at Mayfair Mall has been cleared to return to service.
According to the mall's operator, Brookfield Properties, K-9 Blue was quarantined for two weeks at his training facility in Indiana following the incident.
Since then, they say he's completed and passed all veterinary requirements.
"It has been unanimously concluded that Blue and his handler are prepared to serve at Mayfair Mall," the company shared in a statement. "We are grateful to the authorities for their expertise, professionalism and leadership over the last two months."
Brookfield Properties says they've worked closely with security vendor Andy Frain Services, as well as the Wauwatosa Police Department, to ensure Blue is ready to return.
The woman injured was identified as Amirah Walls. According to a report, officers reviewed security footage that showed Walls trying to break up a fight and being pulled away by a security officer before charging toward someone and throwing punches.
The security officer, Malcolm Ingram, told police Walls tried to kick him. He said he fell and let go of the dog's leash, and the dog bit her when she tried to kick him again.
A civil lawsuit was filed against Ingram, Andy Frain Services, Mayfair Mall, and Brookfield Properties. According to Walls' attorney, B'Ivory LaMarr, the lawsuit is "pretty extensive" and claims negligence.
LaMarr, said the incident caused Walls to suffer trembling to her leg, shaking, involuntary spasms, scarring, and is in therapy for the mental and psychological aspects of what took place.
