Roommate of accused killer sentenced to year of probation

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A woman linked to the death of a woman killed on her way to work will not spend any time in prison. 

Samantha Gustafson was sentenced to a year of probation Wednesday morning. 

Prosecutors say she did not turn in her roommate, Carl Knight. Knight is charged with murdering Karen Simek.

Simek was an employee at the Garden Fresh Foods near 12th and National. She was found dead outside the store in January 2017.
