Robbers make off with $30,000 worth of cell phones

Two robbers, one armed with a handgun, made off with over $30,000 worth of cell phones from the AT&T Store in Mount Pleasant.   The Mount Pleasant Police say the armed robbery occurred around 6:55 PM Thursday at the store at Durand Avenue and Oakes Road.  According to the Police report, the two men entered the store and one displayed a handgun to the clerk.   After taking the cell phones, the suspects fled the scene and have not been apprehended.   No one was injured during the robbery.   The Mount Pleasant Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
