Gonzalez played with the Brewers in September and October last year leading up to and during their playoff run. With the Brewers he had a 3-0 record in five games with a 2.13 ERA. He only pitched in three innings during the playoffs for the Brewers who relied heavily on relievers.
According to Rosenthal, the deal is for one year and worth $2 million. It also includes $2 million in performance bonuses.
