MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In honor of Random Acts of Kindness Day, Feb. 17, staff from Stan's Fit Your Feet and the Weyco shoe corporation made a surprise donation of 150 pairs of new socks and shoes at the Repairers of the Breach homeless shelter.
The special delivery is part of February's "Share a Pair" shoe and sock drive. They accept nearly every kind of shoe and give it those in need.
"We're looking for all kinds of shoes. We're looking for gently-worn athletic shoes, boots, work shoes, dress shoes, all those different types," said Jim Sajdek, President of Stan's Fit Your Feet.
Monday was the biggest donation day of the year, but you can donate year-round. Since starting this drive 14 years ago, Stan's Fit Your Feet has collected more than 275,000 gently-used shoes.
